Militarytechsource.com., Inc. is proud to be a financial services
organization that provides superior products and services to its customers.
We greatly appreciate the trust that you and other Militarytechsource.com
customers have placed in us, and we will protect that trust by continuing to
respect the privacy of all our applicants and customers even if our formal
customer relationship ends. It is important for you to know that, in order
to ensure that our customers receive the very best service we obtain certain
information. This information is obtained either directly from you, for
instance, from your application and the transactions on your account; or,
indirectly, from an outside source such as your credit bureau report. When
you visit our website, the only information we receive about you is what you
voluntarily provide through the forms you submit or email you send to us.
Orders
If you purchase a product or service from us, we must request certain
personal identifiable information from you on our order form. You must
provide contact information (such as name, e-mail and shipping address). We
use this information for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we
have trouble processing your order, we use this information to contact you.
Personally Identifiable Information (PII) If your personally identifiable
information changes, you may update it by emailing Customer Service @
customerservice@militarytechsource.com or by telephoning us at
1-800-697-5805 or by postal mail at the address listed below.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user's computer for
record-keeping purposes. We use session ID cookies on this site to make it
easier for you to navigate our site. We do not link the information we store
in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on
our site. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. Some of
our business partners (e.g. Google) use cookies on our site. We have no
access to or control over these cookies. See Third Parties.
We Respect Your Privacy
Since some of the information we gather is not publicly available, we take
great care to ensure that this information is kept safe from unauthorized
access, and we would never share the information in violation of any
regulation or law. We require your Social Security number in order to
process your application. When you enter your Social Security number on our
application form, we encrypt it using SSL (secure socket layer technology).
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal
information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive
it. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, however.
Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect
your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We
post customer testimonials on our web site which may contain personally
identifiable information such as the customer's name. We do obtain the
customer's consent prior to posting the testimonial to post their name along
with their testimonial.
Because Militarytechsource.com respects your privacy and values your trust,
the only employees or companies who can access your private personal
information are those who use it to service your account or provide services
to you or to us. Militarytechsource.com diligently maintains physical,
electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with applicable federal
standards to guard your private personal information and to assist us in
preventing unauthorized access to that information. We post customer
testimonials on our web site which may contain personally identifiable
information such as the customer's name. We do obtain the customers consent
to publish their name.
How We Share Information with Other Companies
From time to time, for general business purposes such as fraud control or
when we think it may benefit you, we do share certain information with
companies that have marketed merchandise to Militarytechsource.com account
holders. The information we share might come from your application, for
instance your name, address and telephone number. Also, the information we
share could include your credit bureau reports, your transactions with us,
your account balance, payment history, or credit card usage.
Third Parties
We use a third party servicing company to service your loan. When you sign
up for a Retail Installment Contract with us, we will share the information
necessary for them to service your loan. The third party servicing company
is strictly prohibited from using your personally identifiable information
for any other purpose.
Sharing Information with Other Third Parties
We also may share information with other companies outside of
Militarytechsource.com that are able to extend special offers we feel might
be of value to you. These companies may be non-financial companies (such as
retailers or direct marketers). These offers are typically for products and
services that you might not otherwise hear about. The information we may
provide them comes from the sources described above and might include your
name, address, and phone number. We reserve the right to disclose your
personally identifiable as required by law and when we believe that
disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial
proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our web site.
We may also provide information to outside companies that perform operational services related to your account, or marketing services for us. The law permits the sharing of information with these types of companies. This information also comes from the sources described above and might include name, address, and phone number.
Finally, we provide information about you to outside companies as permitted by law. These companies may include credit reporting agencies and companies, which provide services, related to your account.
How to Opt-Out
If you do not want us to share your private information with outside
companies, please let us know by simply calling us at 1-800-697-5805 (please
have your Account number available). We will be happy to comply with your
"opt-out" request, which will apply to all private label accounts you have
with Militarytechsource.com. Private label accounts are not general-purpose
accounts such as MasterCard®or Visa®, but are accounts that may be used
only at the specific merchant or merchants named on the credit card or
account. Any opt-out request for outside companies will not be effective
before July 1, 2001. An opt-out request by any party on a joint account will
apply to all parties on the joint account. Opt-out requests will not apply
to information sharing that is permitted by law. Please allow sufficient
time for us to process your request. This request will not apply to
information about your transactions or experience with
Militarytechsource.com (such as account information, account usage, or
payment history) and will only apply to the private label accounts you have
with Militarytechsource.com.
Tell-A-Friend
If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site,
we will ask you for your friend's name and email address. We will
automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit
the site. MilitaryTechSource stores this information for the sole purpose of
sending this one-time (email and tracking the success of our referral
program).
Your friend may contact us at

information from our database.
Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to
this privacy statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate
so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and
under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We reserve the right to
modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here, by
email, or by means of a notice on our homepage.
