TravelMate 8100 Notebook Wins Notebook Decathlon
The TravelMate 8100 has emerged as the overall winner of
Laptop magazine's "First Annual Notebook Decathlon."
"When the dust settled, there was really only one winner,"
the magazine stated.. "The huge scores accumulated by
the Acer TravelMate 8100 in the speed contests were too much
for any of the other notebooks to match in later tests. The
Acer ended up with a final score of 70, about 7 percent ahead
of the next leading contender."
The TravelMate 8100 was up against the Apple 15-inch PowerBook
G4, Averatec 3360 EH1, Dell Latitude D610, Fujitsu Lifebook

Mobile Magazine has named the Ferrari 4000 a Mobile Choice
and said in its review:
"With a sweet design, solid performance, and a decent
price, we think the Ferrari is a great deal, but we'll leave
you with this warning: You may want to shell out a little
extra for insurance on the Ferrari, as this system is sure
to spark the darkest, covetous desires in the hearts of your
coworkers."
